DescriptionTwo identity discs -- one green and octagonal, the other red and circular -- stamped "Cpt E H Shepard RGA CE", connected to each other with a small loop of butcher's twine; the green tag has a larger loop of butcher's twine [for wearing around the neck]. [The "CE" stands for "Church of England", Shepard's religion, a standard datum on these discs]. Likely to be made of the standard issue vulcanised asbestos fibre.
