DescriptionDr Paul A Winckler writes that he is professor of library science and he has recently developed a new course on the history and techniques of book illustrations. He writes that he attended the International Antiquarian Book Fair and found for sale several of E H Shepard's original pen and ink drawings. He writes that he purchased a drawing of a man feeding rabbits from 'Perfume from Provence'. He asks Shepard if he could write a short statement about his life, his work as a book illustrator, how he works and brief comments on his illustrations for the works of A A Milne. He also asks if Shepard would be willing to autograph his first edition copy of 'Now We Are Six' and if he could draw and autograph a small sketch for his daughter.
