Description | Ink and watercolour drawing of the cover image for LET'S PRETEND, an anthology of poetry for children by Georgette Agnew, published in 1927. The image is shown in silhouette: a boy sits on a tussock in a flowery meadow holding a daffodil [right] while a fairy, [a snail?] and a mole [possibly Mole] look at him [left]. Two peacocks perch in the branches of trees on either edge and dragonflies in the space between.
