DescriptionInk and watercolour drawing of a boy in a blue smock and yellow shorts, carrying a red hat, running along a path [in a forest?] Initialled in pencil, lower left, and has the annotation "The size of these books will likely be smaller to give the two volumes a more intimate character" in pencil at the bottom, probably in a handwriting other than Shepard's. It appeared in an edition of THE GOLDEN AGE, a collection of stories for children by Kenneth Grahame, published by Bell in 1928.
