The subject for this concert was "A Musical Sandwich", and it featured the Ancoats Girls' Institute junior choir and pupils of Miss Madge Atkinson's Dancing Class. The programme consisted of songs and dances: "Fairy Elves" and "Away to the Sands", "Pluck ye roses" and "Let me Wander not unseen", "Orpheus with his Lute", "Come away Sweet Love", "The Rhine Raft Song", "Father William", "A Lullaby" and "The Dance", "May Day at Islington", "Come Lasses and Lads" and "Under the Greenwood Tree", "So soft and warm" and "Greeting", "In the Twilight" and "Protect us thro' the Coming Night".
