TitleLeaf cloaks for children
Datec1927
Extent8 children's hooded cloaks
DescriptionCotton cloaks with hoods for the dance Trina and the Leaf-fairies where Anita Heyworth played Trina.

At the top of the cloak there is a padded 'stalk' which is attached to the hood. The hood is shaped with darting and is hemmed at the edge. The cloak itself is flared so if needed it could move as far as the outstretched arm, there are two poppers at the neck to fasten it round the body. The bottom edges are not sewn. Five of the cloaks have name labels stitched into them (in the hoods) and two of these names match the names given by Heyworth for the 1934 performance.
The cloaks are a variety of colours, from green, yellow, brown, red, pink and turquoise and have been softly tie-dyed with a mottled effect.

There are images of Heyworth and children in their roles in the collection.
