"Mother Earth" was danced and mimed by Anita Heyworth and children (from Anita Heyworth's list of memorable dances). It was performed at the Milton Hall Manchester on 16 December 1933 and the Lesser Free Trade Hall Manchester on 23, 25, 26 November 1935.
This is one of the examples of a nature themed dance found in Natural Movement.
The costume consists of leaf dresses, yellow tunics, a grasshopper hood, poppy dress and hat, daffodil dress, girdles, crinkled pants and fabric pieces.
