DescriptionHeaddress for The Moth dress.
The antenna are made from black velvet and can be manipulated - there are two 'eyes' made from felt and netting (green and gold) and these are appliqued either side of the headdress. The headdress is shaped to cover the neck and shoulders and is made from black satin. There are three weights sewn into the hem.

The Moth was danced to music by Debussy 'Pour le piano', this was a solo for Madge Atkinson by Annea Spong.

There is a small illustration, signed by Grimmond, of the costume in the souvenir book The Beauty of Movement. The book also contains a Moth poem by L Stanley Jast.
