| Description | One ink drawing on card depicting a standing British soldier wearing a large number of jumpers and scarves, whilst smoking several cigarettes, a pipe and a cigar. This drawing parodies generous donations to the troops by the British public. Published in 'Punch' magazine on 13 Jan 1915. Two captions shown at base of illustration. One reads: 'A post-Xmas idyll in Flanders - the brave armed by the fair (modern edition)' The other reads: 'gallant attempt by a member of the Brit. Exp.
