The photographer's viewpoint is a little way back from the open sides of the building, near two rectangular openings in the floor. Three pillars separate the view outside the building - in the first section on the left, some scaffolding stands and beyond this, a concrete lorry (partly in view) with two workers around it (one at the back and one at the side). Further behind the lorry is a row of wooden huts. Piles of bricks/ rubble stand on the left of the lorry and two more workers stand on the far left of these. Within the central section/ viewpoint afforded by the pillars, is the crane with pile drill and 'bit'. The 'bit' is roughly the same size as the nearest labourer, standing on the left of it, near the crane cab. Five workers can be seen around the crane cab. Two more white wooden huts stand behind the crane and behind those, a line of bare trees. The ground inclines uphill where a further worker stands and two large mounds of earth/ rubble can be seen through the third pillar section. A small clump of bushes/ chopped trees is just below the mounds and some small posts, possibly from a fence, are in front and to the right of the bush area. Cardboard mounted photograph |
