DescriptionPhoto taken from muddy ground, looking towards Senate House, which has much of its outer structure and brickwork complete, except for the section with the wide staircase on a lower level. Most of the windows are in though there is one window section which has been left open on the top floor. There is some scaffolding up around the lower part of Senate House. On the left of Senate House is an area of ground which is being evened out/ levelled for building on. There is a digger in the back of this area. In the section before the digger there is a square of flat, solid surface and a long wooden post cuts the already levelled area in two. Three spades are upright here. To the left of the levelled area, just before the raised ridge, a small wall has been erected with wooden posts spaced evenly across its back, differing lengths and some poking above the wall level. There is a piece of equipment like a transit/ theodolite, on a tripod, before the small wall. Across from this piece of equipment, but before a raised section of earth, is a little vehicle for trasporting small loads. In the foreground before this vehicle is a worker who is walking with his hands in his pockets, about to step over a wooden plank. On the right is a large stack of tiles. Behind this another digger can be seen. In the background on the left is an open muddy space and behind this are more university buildings.
