DescriptionPhoto taken from atop a university building, looking across at the lecture theatre block in the direction of Guildford Cathedral. The buildings in the lecture theatre block have most of their outer structure complete and much of the sloping covered walkways are also complete with the occasional panel missing. Small slatted vents are visible in three of the blocks' outside walls. The windows in the lower left hand block have not been put in (though the frames have). Above and behind the lecture theatre block are two more university buildings still under construction and with scaffolding around them. In the background, Guildford Cathedral can be seen with a tower crane standing in front of it, its arm/ jib pointing to the left. Another smaller boom crane is in an open construction space to the left of the buildings with scaffolding around them. The boom/ arm of this crane is pointing to the left with its hook block suspended above a parked lorry with a white cab and a diminished load on the back. In front of this lorry are two lines of white wooden temporary huts and a couple of small white sheds. In the foreground on the left, the roof of the building where the photographer stands is visible. There are small square tiles on the main roof section going around a raised square section with wooden slats and two small pipes protruding from it. A cable runs across this section, off the building across to a post in front of one of the white wooden huts a short distance away.
