DescriptionIn the photo foreground is part of the lake. The edge of the grassy area with a small ridge of pebbles is visible in the bottom left of the photo and the reflection of Senate House, Guildford Cathedral and many of the temporary huts is visible in the water. A small incline of grassy land leads up to the main construction area; on the left there are rows of white, wooden temporary huts/ cabins, roughly parallel to the far edge of the lake. A row of power cables and posts crosses the row of huts and runs up towards the back of the inclining land. On the right hand side, behind the lake, is a raised bank which leads to an area of flat, levelled land - this area is enclosed by a concrete post/ wire fence and contained within it are many more white temporary huts/ cabins, roughly perpendicular in angle to the rows on the left. In the far right of the photo, above the enclosed area of huts, stands Sentate House. It has scaffolding on the right hand side of it and still has a level exposed to the outside (the level which includes the wide staircase near the bottom of the building). There is a patch of bushes on the right of Senate House and a tower crane is visible on the left of it, further back where there are more university buildings under construction. On the left, in the background and on higher ground, is Guildford Cathedral. There is a large deciduous tree in front of the cathedral and several others on the left, in the university land, with more white temporary huts visible in the same area. A truck is parked in this area. Trees line the top of the hill in the background.
