DescriptionPhoto taken from university building with scaffolding up, looking across at the progress of another building still under construction (Battersea Court residential building) - this building has a concrete floor level down with more brick walls being constructed on top around the edge/ at the back. Along the top front of the building wall, many stacks of bricks are spaced out with a board in each gap - the boards have mortar spread out in a roughly circular fashion. Many other piles/ stacks of bricks are dotted around inside the top of this building's space, along with window frames, wheel barrows, metal cages and long planks of wood. On the top level of scaffolding running around the outside, there is a wooden planked walkway. One worker stands on the left, on part of this walkway, just visible behind the mast of a tower crane; another is working in the lower land to the left of the building and two further men are working on the roof of a building over the other side of the road (the lecture theatre block). This building has scaffolding around it and some piles of wooden planks atop it. On the right of the lecture theatre block, the Philip Marchant Building can be seen, with a white temporary hut a little way in front and at an angle to it; on the left of it is part of the library. Further back again are more university buildings. In the foreground, below where the photographer is stationed, the ground below the Battersea Court building is covered with bricks, parts of bricks and other materials.
