| Custodial History | A project to remount this series of illustrations was carried out during July-September 2023. A conservator removed items from old mount board, minor conservation work was carried out, and items were remounted in museum grade board using conservation techniques. It was agreed with Harper Collins that some illustrations would be mounted to reveal the irregular shapes of the paper the illustrations are on, as well as publishing instructions, as this is a working publisher's collection. Some items were rehoused in new polyester sleeves.
Professional digital photography was then carried out by Alta Imaging to provide new digital images for true colour print reproduction for the publisher, as well as archive reference copies. The project was funded by Harper Collins in advance of the centenary anniversaries for the 'Winnie-the-Pooh' books (2024-2028). |
