The first page is inscribed 'R M A Ginner Xmas'.
The contents demonstrate evidence of Ginner in juvenile dramatic roles (in 1901 she was aged 15), working under and with Elsie Fogerty and the Crystal Palace Company. Ginner was a pupil of Elsie Fogerty at the Crystal Palace School of Art and Music (Science) and Literature until about 1905-6. From 1906 Ginner appears in performance as a member of Frank Benson's Company (he was the president of the School). From 1907 Ginner's name is associated with dance roles as well as a producer of dances and drama. At this time Ginner was a member of the Pivot Club (formed by past and present pupils of Elsie Fogerty) which in 1907 had fifty members. The scrapbook also documents a production of Et Puis Bonsoir in 1908 which was performed many times by Mawer and Ginner. A K Dyer appears as an actor in many pieces with Ginner and perhaps suggests how the couple met (they married in 1908).
