This scrapbook covers the period in which Ginner established the Ruby Ginner School of Dance. Evidence exists here which demonstrates her continued contact with former teacher Elsie Fogerty (see 1915) and her new partnership with Irene Mawer who joined the Ruby Ginner School which then became the Ginner-Mawer School of Dance and Drama. The Grecian Dancers were still performing at various venues and Bice Bellairs' name appears when she was a child performer in 1920.

Review from the Birmingham Daily Post 16 September 1913 concerning Herr Denhof's revival of Gluck's "Orpheus" performed at the Prince of Wales Theatre for which Ruby Ginner was 'premiere danseuse' (there are reviews for this production by newspapers from Birmingham, Yorkshire, Sheffield, Bradford, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Dundee); also a programme for, and several reviews of, Alice in Wonderland performed in December for which Ginner arranged the dances.
1914:
Several reviews for Ginner and her Grecian Dancers including one programme for Ranelagh Club Ladies Sports 'polo matches, music' Saturday 20 June where they performed in the Garden Theatre in the evening; pictures and reviews of Ginner and Mr Alan Trotter performing in a Grecian Ballet "An Autumn Idyll".
1915:
Several reviews and pictures of the Red Cross Fete at Ranelagh in July where the Grecian dancers performed outdoors; several other programmes and reviews for performances including The Rose Court held in the grounds of Okehampton, Torrington Park; The Allies at Etlinger Operatic School; performances at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne; a lecture demonstration by Elsie Fogerty illustrated by Ginner and her Grecian Dancers at the Summer School of Speech Training in Stratford-On-Avon.

A folder of loose material contains an image from the Dancing Times, three articles regarding the founding of a School of National Dancing, Notes of the Choric Dances (a leaflet probably from a programme), and a letter from The Dancing Times to Ruby Ginner 13 December 1920 congratulating her on an address she gave. |
