TitleGreek Dance Festival Albert Hall
DateMarch 1936
Extent1 large green scrapbook
DescriptionA 'scrap and news cutting book' of press cuttings and other material relating to the Greek Dance Festival directed by Ruby Ginner and held at the Albert Hall on 14 March 1936.
Originally there was to be only one performance but tickets for the matinee sold out in two weeks, meaning a further evening performance was scheduled (which also sold out). The performances featured 500 performers including Ginner-Mawer dancers.

Detailed contents:
On the first pages are a picture of a lion with a quote from a Miracle Play and a poem to Pooh and Christopher Robin (A Littul Hum); subsequently the pages contain: newspaper cuttings including reviews and advertisements, many of which have photographs; a hand-drawn plan of the Albert Hall; handwritten poem 'With apologies to Irene Mawer'; an article of advertisement with a list of publications it was sent to; two leaflets which accompanied the performance; a letter wishing every success in the performance from Miss Helena Walley to Miss Willoughby-Brown; issue of The Link March 1936; a black and white photograph of a poster advertising the event and a ticket stub; first impression of the programme with a twig taped inside; further press cuttings including one in Greek with the English translation; letters to and from Ruby Ginner; a list of presenters of gifts; four photographs, including one of Ruby Ginner and one of the Pyrrhic Dance frieze; receipts and payments account for the event.

Two envelopes are glued to the back page of the album containing telegrams (contents of envelopes removed and stored separately); and one envelope glued to the back cover of the album containing letters (contents removed and stored separately). The contents of these envelopes are: six GPO telegrams wishing good luck and congratulations (including one from Bice to Ruby Ginner), and ten Post Office telegrams (including one from Ernest in Cannes, one of Ginner's brothers). The letters include cards that came with flowers, letters and postcards of congratulations and thanks and one letter regarding the statistics of the wardrobe for the event.
