DescriptionThe programme states that the Garden Party was given on the occasion of the presentation of five additional cottages. The programme includes some facts about Barrowmore Tuberculosis Colony, a list of events 'if fine' and 'if wet'. The events include band music, speeches, visit to new cottages, tea, a dancing display by Miss Atkinson's pupils, and a tour of the institution. There is a bankers' order form at the back of the programme for donations. Two pages of notes detail the dances to perform on the day. One page is typed, the other handwritten and the dances are: Platter Dance, Passepied, Bouree, Tone Picture No. 3, April, Forlana, Festal Dance, Le Roi S'amuse, Peasant Song, Pastorale, Hungarian, Caprice, and Gossip.
