06:22-14:46: Metallurgy: late for lectures, Chris Walker; slow buses; lecture based with some practical sessions; busy timetable; pyjama dance at Battersea College; recalls mixing with nurses at Chelsea College; Grove Tavern public house opposite Battersea College; bowling in Streatham; took notes in lectures and wrote them up using text books; mechanical engineering students, motorbikes
