Postmark indicates that the letter was processed at Shamley Green. Florence writes that a family named Ellice [sp.?] have taken the "White House". She writes that the Gossages are "coming to tea on Saturday". Florence informs E H Shepard that they [the family?] all have "awful colds". Florence writes that she only has £1 left, as she has paid off a few outstanding accounts ["butcher" etc.].
