Florence writes that she will be leaving Paignton on Wednesday, as "the kids really do seem to have whooping cough"; Florence writes that she is concerned that Pip [Pip Gossage] may contract it. Florence notes down her travel details. Florence writes that "It is snowing again + [and] awfully cold". Florence also writes that she liked receiving three short letters, and has kept them in her pocket. Florence writes that she hopes that the children don't have whooping cough.
