Description | Letter postmarked 27 April 1916 and addressed to E H Shepard at 105th Siege Battery, Dolphin Inn, Lydd, Kent. Postmark indicates that the letter was processed at Shamley Green [Guildford]. Florence writes that she is pleased that E H Shepard is "not going this time". Florence asks E H Shepard about the time that he will be home, as she will be going for a dental appointment. Florence writes that she and Mary are visiting the hospital. Florence writes that she only has "thick felt hats", and may purchase another kind due to the weather. Florence also writes that she would "rather have a cosy [sp.?] evening here than go to the theatre", and that they might "cosy up in the garden". Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont".
