Description | Letter postmarked 5 April 1916, and addressed to E H Shepard at R.G.A., Red House, Littlestone-on-sea, Kent. Postmark indicates that the letter was processed at Shamley Green [Guildford]. Paper headed with "Monday morning" [Handwritten]. Florence writes that "it's such a wonderful day again", with plenty of sunshine. She writes that Baba [Graham Shepard] has been reading the letters from E H Shepard to herself; she notes that "Baba seems better today". Florence writes that she wishes that E H Shepard could be with her, but that since he can't, not to pay her "any notice". [Continued on another page: Wednesday.] Florence writes that she has received the photos, and that they are "very nice". Florence also writes that it is "another lovely day". Florence writes that Graham is recovering, and that he slept "right through last night". Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont". |
