| Description | John Betjeman sends a copy of his poem 'Thought on the Diary of a Nobody' with a letter explaining that the verses are not as long as he thought but with a longish title as a substitute. He says that if Shepard does not have a copy of 'Diary of a Nobody' he can post his copy for the likeness of Mr and Mrs Pooter in the illustrated verses. Betjeman says the he does like writing poems for Shepard. |
