TitleLetter from E H Shepard to John Hudson
Date[c1967]
Extent1 paper
DescriptionE H Shepard writes that he has no objection to John Hudson selling four of his drawings and hopes he sets a worthwhile price for them. He writes that he and Norah have been wondering what they should do with the sketchbooks full of the original drawings of Pooh and Wind in the Willows. He says that he intends to leave some of the finished drawings of Piglet and from Wind in the Willows to his great grandchildren. He says that he would like to bequeath the four sketchbooks with the pencil originals to the nation, he supposes at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He says that both he and Norah agree that they wish the sketch books to remain in England. Shepard writes that when he knows of the result of the sale of the drawings that Michael Heseltine of Sotheby's took with him, he will then consult him about these matters.
