Description | Innes Hamilton, Chairman of the Royal Windsor, Staines and District branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [RSPCA], writes that a committee recently organised a successful exhibition of watercolours as a pilot scheme and they now hope to organise a much larger exhibition. Hamilton asks if E H Shepard would present to the Society for auction a small signed drawing of Winnie-the-Pooh
On the reverse of the letter Shepard writes that he has always been a supporter of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and he is interested to hear about the exhibition. However he asks Hamilton to consider accepting a sketch of the animals from 'Wind in the Willows' instead of 'Winne-the-Pooh'. |
