DescriptionLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard. He says that he was having dinner in the little tunnel when the mail arrived, including a letter from Florence and cream which he had on a slice of cake and in his coffee for pudding. He says that he is glad that she has had a fine day, and that the photos our imminent. He says that he would love a photograph of Pip and Neil in their bathing suits.

He says that it has been a slack afternoon so he has been able to do more painting, and he has three illustrations now to send to her. He says that the day before he bought a couple of oil lamps and has now fixed them up, and he describes in great detail the design and colour of the lampshades.

He talks of the balance at Cox and says he is sending a cheque for £25, and he talks of buying service boots. He also says that Serp has asked for him to get a knitted cardigan for him from the ordance store. He asks Florence to see if she kind find one of his own cardigans at home and send it. He also notes that his brogue shows have disappeared and he fears that they were stolen .

He writes a further note the following day to says that he cut the figure of a young woman from the paper and it is enclosed with the letter
