DescriptionLetter postmarked 27 February 1916 and addressed to E H Shepard; sent care of Mrs. Leatham [sp.?], 1 Royal Terrace, Weymouth, Dorset. Postmark indicates that the letter was processed in Paignton, Devon.
Florence writes that she did not get a letter yesterday from E H Shepard. She notes that she longs for next week. Florence writes regarding the war effort: "Isn't it good news today about Verdun + [and] the Russians". Florence notes that the weather remains poor, and that it is "so snowy here"; she writes that she has only been for "two little walks". Florence also reports that the "Babes are perfectly happy"; she writes that Pip [Pip Gossage] dressed Mary [Mary Shepard] as a boy and sent her tobogganing with the other boys.
