TitleLetter to E H Shepard from Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date11 Jan [1916]
Extent3 papers
Description Postmark extremely difficult to read -- may be 1915. Written at Red Cottage [Shamley Green, Guildford].
Florence writes that she is "so pleased about you [E H Shepard] coming home, if only it comes off". Florence writes of travel issues at London Bridge; she notes that she had a few issues with changing at the station and almost lost a piece of luggage. She writes that she exchanged a few cross words with the guard, and that he accused her of trying to steal luggage. Florence writes of her frustration that she did not have to change trains at the station after all. Florence requests that E H Shepard complain on her behalf, since she suffered embarrassment due to the debacle. Florence asks E H Shepard to send her a cheque.
