Paper headed with "Tuesday evening" [Handwritten].
Florence writes that "after the mysterious lady quite a few people came". Florence writes that she wishes that E H Shephard were with her, and that "it seems such…a wait for 7 weeks, but still it's much worse for people whose husbands are in the trenches".

Florence writes that she has received E H Shepard's card, and that it is a shame that he is worked so hard. She asks him to try to keep away from the illness. She also asks that he not write any more cards "while things are so lousy", but then requests that he write a "nice letter on Saturday and Sunday".
