Letter postmarked 19 May 1916 and addressed to E H Shepard at 105th Siege Battery, R.G.A. British Expeditionary Force, France.
Paper headed with "20th May, Saturday evening" [Handwritten].
Florence writes that "it's another lovely night". Florence writes that she will send out a photo sent by E H Shepard to "Sheap" [sp.?]. Florence writes that she must go to the bank "on Monday"; she notes that she is not afraid of that now. Florence also writes that she has been "terribly tired". Florence writes that she wishes that she could see E H Shepard, and signs off with the nicknames "Mont" and "Puss" [Mary Shepard?]. Florence also enquires after E H Shepard's cough.

Florence writes that she liked her letter from E H Shepard, detailing the positive aspects of his routine; she asks him to tell her "everything". Florence also asks whether E H Shepard could tell her his location. Florence writes that Graham Shepard has been home "for 7 [seven] days". Florence mentions that it disturbed her that E H Shepard had not received a few of her letters. Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont".
