Written at Red Cottage [Shamley Green, Guildford]. Envelope postmarked 19 June 1916 and addressed to E H Shepard at 105 Siege Battery, R.G.A. British Expeditionary Force, France.
Paper headed with "Red Cottage, Monday 19th" [Handwritten].
Florence writes that she has just done up E H Shepard's parcel. Florence writes that she has enclosed a cake which weighs "4 pounds", buttons [sp.?], lime [sp.?] chocolate, bulls eyes, + [and] note paper".
Florence writes that she has had no letter from E H Shepard today, but hopes that one will arrive tomorrow as she gets a "bit anxious".
Florence writes that the Dr and his wife visited yesterday.
Florence writes that it is "so cold again", and hopes that it isn't "too bad out there". Florence asks whether E H Shepard received "Pip's [Pip Gossage] parcel". Florence writes that she hopes that E H Shepard is "allright [sic]"; she signs off with the nickname "Mont".
