Florence writes that she has been informed that the "wretched" rumour concerning cut communication with France will come to fruition; she notes that communication will be cut off for three weeks rather than six weeks. Florence mentions that she plans to purchase Graham Shepard a pair of walking shoes for his birthday. Florence signs off with the nicknames "Mont" and "Puss" [connected].
