Paper headed with "Monday evening, 5th June /16" [Handwritten].
Florence writes that she has received two letters from E H Shepard, dated 1st and 2nd June, in which he detailed "the deserted house in the shelled town". Florence writes that she doesn't know how she feels when she pictures her "darling boy" there; she writes that she wishes that she could have him "safely home" again.
Florence writes that she went in to Guildford. Florence writes that she has had some trouble with her glasses.
Florence writes of Mary [Mary Shepard] and Baba [Graham Shepard] briefly. Florence writes that she pities Bruce for his hay fever.
Florence writes that it has rained "on + [and] off for 2 days".
Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont".
