Florence writes that she was delighted to receive two letters from E H Shepard in the morning. She writes that she was also pleased to hear that E H Shepard will be "going into dug outs again". Florence writes that she now expects that E H Shepard will start to receive her letters again.
Florence writes that she is sorry that E H Shepard must sleep "with the rain coming down on you"; she asks him whether he would like any warm clothing sent. Florence writes that E H Shepard's letters are interesting, and that she sometimes needs "the unhappy parts".
Florence writes that "Lots of people have written to me about Cyril". Florence writes that the kitchen is to be repainted.
Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont".
