Florence writes that she attended a concert "yesterday".
Florence writes that she went to visit "Aunt Fanny" [Fanny Shepard]; she notes that they spoke a lot "about you [E H Shepard]". Florence writes that she is writing in the drawing room.
Florence writes that she will be presently going to "Charing X [Cross]" to meet a few acquaintances. Florence writes of a new purchase.
Florence writes of a friend, "Mrs Ingram [sp.?]", who has not heard from "Bruce" for two days.
Florence writes that has heard that E H Shepard was "asked to volunteer" for an unfortunate duty; Florence asks him not to, and later notes that it may be "dangerous work".
Florence writes of the "insurance paper", and notes that "they keep altering taxes".
Florence writes that she is pleased that E H Shepard likes the drawing that she sent.
Florence writes that she is looking forward to getting home to "see if there's another letter".
