British Expeditionary Force, France. First paper headed with "Sunday 23rd July" [Handwritten]. Florence writes that she is anxious as she has not had a letter from E H Shepard. She writes that the "gas attacks" have added to her anxiety. Florence writes that she is writing in the studio. Florence writes that she has enclosed a photograph of herself in the envelope. Florence writes of the finances; she writes that she will be proud when she pays her earnings in to the bank. Florence writes that she hopes that E H Shepard is "getting more sleep". Florence signs off with the nickname "Puss" [usually applied to Mary Shepard, but in this case clearly applied to Florence Shepard].
