First paper headed with "Wednesday 26th July /16" [Handwritten]. Florence writes that she has sent the cake made of "raisins and sultanas". Florence writes that she wishes that she could help E H Shepard with his work. Florence writes that she wonders if there will be any chance of leave "soonish [sic]". Florence writes that she hopes that E H Shepard is getting her letters regularly, as she has "written every day". Florence writes that Rosemary is mourning Cyril; she writes that "it is piteous to see her…It comes over her in waves". Florence writes that she will send E H Shepard another parcel soon; Florence writes that she would like to send it as he is "having such a hard time". Florence signs off with the nickname "Mont".
