Florence writes that she has received "two nice letters" from E H Shepard today. Florence writes that she liked his drawing of the "dug out", but is pleased that he will perhaps be moving to "nice safe dug outs ready made". Florence writes that she is sorry that "poor Richard" was subjected to gas. Florence writes that it must be "terribly trying", to have such hard work to complete. Florence writes that she wishes that she could have E H Shepard home for "a few days".
