TitleLetter to E H Shepard from A A Milne about 'When We Were Very Young'
Date[c1924]
Extent1 paper
DescriptionA A Milne tells Shepard that he has just received proofs of page 64 and that they very much like the drawings, particularly the drawings for the poems 'Spring Morning', 'Politeness', 'Rice Pudding' and 'Hoppity'.

He mentions his butterfly and says that Shepard's dragonfly wings would do very well, with the lillies for the poem 'Water-lillies'. He also mentions Twinkletoes.

He says that he is delighted to accept a drawing but tells Shepard that he must let him buy it and two others later on as he already feels very much in Shepard's debt.
