Date12 Dec 1916
Extent2 papers, 1 envelope
DescriptionWritten while EHS was in the military. EHS writes about recieving letters from her and Graham and mentions sending them a parcel home that includes her stockings (he has "diplomatically" called them a "silk scarf"). EHS talks about his drawing work mentioning Hassel, Goddard and chasing a payment from Cox.
EHS has "done a rather sporting christmas card to present to our headquarters - it will please the Colonel also the young doctor". EHS mentions commrades Ricardo, Hambly, Bruce, Herb and "the Doc" throughout the letter.
EHS mentions the M's and Q's are due tomorrow and asks FCS to tell him if they turn up. He mentions that he might have some leave in early January and talks about recieving birthday letters from different people.
EHS ends his letter with a rough drawing of what is probably EHS, dressed in army attire, coming back home, with FCS, Graham, Mary and one other running towards him.
