TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date13 May 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS writes "isn't it fine about the Illustrated, its really better than I expected". He hopes to send one or two more sketches soon. Hambly and he went to the OP yesterday to relieve Morton (a very good lad, keen), and they are going again later to do "a bit more damage". He hopes it is true about "old T." and hopes to see his regiment soon to clear things up. He mentions they are near a fountain and that if his wife looks at a map, she may be able to follow it out; they are a bit further south than where she thought, a rather cheery place, with people "blowing in" most meal times, especially now he is in charge. He refers to an "absolutely priceless fight between 5 or our aeroplanes and 27 boches".
