TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date14 May 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS is glad to hear old Frog is perking up, and thanks his wife for the little piece of forget-me-not. He writes about the garden and implores his wife for a drawing. He heard from Hassall the other day, who has said it is alright about the originals. EHS would like to give the full drawing to Ricardo (with his wife's permission) as it was his "MC" battle. Hughes has "buzzed off" in the car to have his teeth seen to. Old Charlie and Morton are at the O.P., and he and Hambly are having a peaceful time. No one has yet been posted to them as OC - EHS wonders if he is to stay in charge. He tells his wife not to worry about the boche, their losses are tremendous as they keep on attacking; "the prisoners say its simply hell", as if they are getting their men killed on purpose.
