TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date20 May 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionPossibly posted with EHS/C/9/21/16. This is a new writing block (hence the embossed paper of previous letter which was borrowed). They have a new C.O. named Mair, they have just sent the car for him. This means they won't get Ricardo back. EHS has received a letter from him - he has just arrived in Blightly and is in hospital near Liverpool (1st Western General). He asks how does Mrs Bingham like it now George really has come out - "does she have fits every minute". Hassall wrote a letter yesterday about an advertisement for cigarettes - just a little pen and ink thing which EHS will try to get off within the next week. He is glad "The Shepherdess" looks so nice in her new little frame though he is not sure he'd like her to sell for he is fond of her. He wishes the new major wasn't coming. He is looking forward to an evening with their new friends next door.
