TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date29 May 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS has just missed seeing T again - Morton met a colonel at the line who matched T's description. EHS has just arrived back with a huge bunch of peonies and his sergeant with a bundle of rhubarb that they have just had for lunch. He and Hey are now there alone, while Hughes and Morton a little way off. He mentions receiving a letter with a little columbine in it and speaks of "poor old Graham". The Colonel has been along this morning and said that he and the General were very pleased with them. He describes their little cottage which reminds him of the "pepper pot" of Shamley. He has got one of the gunners to come to the office to try his hand at working the targets by the map. His new shirts have arrived.
