Date30 May 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS was up all night and after visiting the free tea place that is in a cottage near by, had a few hours sleep followed by breakfast with Hey. He describes the bunch pf peonies he has picked for the room, they remind him of home. They have had real butter and cake for tea, that Hey's wife sent. He has been giving out the mens pay as he is the O.C. Two of their gunners have got the Military medal, EHS wishes Ricardo and Hambly would get something too, also their best Sergeant, Back. Garratt is probably coming back to command them. He describes their little cottage. He asks his wife to give Frog a big hug from his Dad and say that he "wants to see him as much as he does me".
