TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date5 Jun 1917
Extent2 papers
DescriptionWritten on graph paper, with [gunners' instructions?] on p. 2 verso. EHS has got his bit of ribbon, Garrett gave him a piece for each tunic, but not his Cross yet. He is in the O.P. as planes are droning overhead, with not a boche in sight. There was one brought down which he saw, Morton was not there, and they managed to get the machine and pilot intact. EHS has been up most the night as some fellows from a neighbouring battery came round having had "a bad time". People are getting leave now but EHS doen't believe he will get any for ages - he would like to get home sometime during the Summer though. It's now Wednesday - EHS is off to the O.P. to relieve Hey.
