TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date15 Jul 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS is still in his room over the postcard shop, but is expecting to leave today. Everything seems more peaceful where he currently is, though still no letters. He asks his wife if she has had the bathing suit ones done yet, or if not, to send a little drawing, "for the sight of all these lovely French girls is having a very disturbing effect". He hopes she and Pip have arranged a trip to the seaside. He believes Hambly will get leave next week. Hughes and Birchenough will come before him, but with a photo or drawing he should be able to "scratch along much more easily". He asks if she remembers a feeble joke Col. Johnston made a long while ago, as it apples in his case. Garrett and he bought a melon yesterday which he is about to have for breakfast.
