TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date18 Jul 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionIt has been raining which means it is too cloudy to shoot. Hambly goes on leave next Saturday; if EHS hadn't had the job at Corps in the Winter, his time would too be coming up. However, "people seem to think its all going to be over before Xmas". He has received 2 letters - one older one where his wife has just heard about Pinkernis and Cox - they have sent EHS a cheque book today so he will be sending something soon. He is glad Aunt F. has stumped up for Baba's suit. EHS is reading a book and has bought a pocket dictionary in order to improve his French. He asks his wife not to go to town on a fine day, but to choose one when there is a high wind as there would be less chance of a raid. He also asks her to tell him all about the play and how many danced.
